There are loads of different breeds from Pedigrees to mongrels there are big dogs and small dogs depending on what types i would say that there are about 100 different types of dog

if you are asking pedigrees or pure-bloods..about 450 breeds in total..not including any regional variations..thats worldwide..in regards to crosses or mutts..too many to count!
ones recognised by kennel club are about 300...
