find another apartment - there are plenty that will accept animals, even large breeds - but know that there will be a hefty pet deposit required. Sounds like he's worth it though, and you'll be so glad you made the extra effort to find the right place for the 2 of you

There are people that will rent to those who have pets, you may have to pay a Non-refundable pet deposit. Check with your local realtors or I dont know if your county has it but try whatever your county names is with the following mls.com and they show rentals. EX. brevardmls.com You can also look in your local paper for rentals and call and ask. Good Luck and you may want to offer, if they accept you to have your renters insurance cover any problems with the dog. It may make it easier on the Landlord. Regards KG

Do you have a friend who can take the dog short term? (And maybe you until you can find a place that will take you both?)

It is difficult, but you CAN work this out. You need to buy yourself some time - maybe a month or two - to find a place that will work. YES it will mean extra deposits.

Call or contact local shelters and pet store to see if they know places that are pet friendly.

Best of luck.

Rent a house, he'll be more happy with a yard anyway. There are apartments and houses that allow pets, they are just not as common. If you want to keep the dog that bad, then you'll find one.

Keep looking. Search online sites like apartments.com, relocationcentral.com, rent.com, etc. They will sort by special criteria such as 'allows dogs' and will tell you what sizes each place allows. It'll give you an idea of your options pretty quickly.
