The Dungeness crab on the west coast have to have saltwater to live. they don't like a lot of current, and prefer sandy bottom. a lot of bays, and the mouth of rivers are generally good spots. this time of the year. you can fish them with crab rings or pots. For bait anything oily and fresh.
