People think that this is a weird religion because we don't do things that "worldy" people do. They think it's weird to get excited for Jesus... who died on the cross for us... but it's ok to go nuts at a Metallica concert. That band hasn't did anything to help anyone's soul but it's ok to scream, holler and cry at their concerts.
People just don't seem to like to be different from others... and if you are a child of God, you HAVE to set yourself apart from the world. :)

No people are inherintly bad because of their religion. There are good people in all religions. Unfortunately, there are lies which have crept into religious teachings and it is not the fault of the congregation, but of the leaders. It is, however, the responsibility of each and every person to check the Bible and make sure that they are being taught the truth according to God's word. If they don't, they will have to answer to God for being negligent in this regard and it may even cost them their lives. The Bible says that 2 groups of people will be destroyed at Armegeddon: 1.) those who don't know God (and obviously that means accurately knowing him) and 2.) those who don't obey him (you have to know what he wants to be able to obey).

I don't think they are bad just think they have some beliefs that don't line up with the word of God. I wish they would study what tongues is and not go on what they have seen and done themselves. I mean study what God said it is. Start at Acts 1 and look up the word tongues in the greek to know the meaning and find out why tongues was even used.

inreply to an email I jsut received... please understand I said "Any religion" meaning "ANY" not your religion in particular.
To further clarify my answer. Any religion that goes about judging another religion is in the wrong. No matter what that religion might be or believe. It is not our place to jusdge anothers beliefs because "beliefs" are personal ideas that each person has developed based on their life experience. It is individual. Some religions fit our beliefs some don't.

I don't! I went to Church with one of my friends who is Pentacostal. It was really interesting. People were speaking in tongues and everything.
Not the thing for me, but it was a great experience, and no one tried to convert me to their sect, and everyone treated eachother with mutual respect.

They're frantic and delusional, and make a social nuisance of themselves. They should be discouraged from participating in public life.
