Well, I've read Genesis and I wondered the same thing. It says that Cain wondered East and came to the land of Nod, where he met his wife (who is unnamed).

There are several people who will say his wife was one of his sisters but Adam and Eve don't have other children until Seth who was born after Cain met his wife. The generally accepted answer is that God made other people after Adam and Eve left Eden.

Edit: The idea that genetic damage couldn't occur back then is laughable. If our genes were different to how they are now we wouldn't be the same species as Adam & Eve, we'd be some sort of evolution (evolution through mutation of genes). This kind of lie is usually pulled to help people explain why Adam and his children could live till 300.

Cain found his wife in the land of Nod. the Bible doesn't say where the people of Nod came from.

Gen 4:16 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
Gen 4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch

It was either a sister, which I doubt, ( the way he took off didnt give him much time to prepare ) or he found some human-like creatures and was accepted enough to take a wife. I'm curious if it's not the later, because he came a place that already had a name and within his life-time built a city. That would be hard to do with just himself and a sister, or even himself and just his "wife" and children.

the link above explains it all.
Adam and Eve had a lot of children, and yes Cain's wife was more than likely his sister- or a very close relative.
The offspring of Adam and Eve had no choice but to intermarry if they were to procreate- there was no one else.
Despite the fact that the family tree doesn't fork- these offspring did just fine - that is because Adam and Eve were made without flaws.
They had no faulty DNA.

Some key words in Genesis. IN THE PROCESS OF TIME Which means that he or they married their sisters. Lineage is important when it comes to the lineage of the messiah.
We could have had many more lineage records but the temple was demolished in 70 AD as well as the lineage records. Which also means no other Jewish Messiah can prove lineage like Jesus can because it is in the bible or much earlier documents than 70 AD

He propably married a relative. Adam and Eve had many children. He could have asked God to give Him a wife. God gave him protection against bloody murder.

Sister, or Mother?

But even more interesting, which people were supposed to look at the mark of cain?

Great question!

Please consider these tidbits:

Jews for Jesus = Vegetarians for Hamburgers

God? He or She?

Church? Christianity? Jesus? Dying?

What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?

Does Imacculate Conception have anything to do with "VIRGIN BIRTH"?

Google Imacculate Conception and learn that is NOT.

What else do you falsely believe?

Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Can Gods die?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?

No Eternal sacrifice, big deal for a day!

If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

Life after death is like virginity after childbirth.

If the flesh of Jesus died, what was seen walking and talking on Sunday?

If you believe this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to believe it too to validate you.

Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.

Believing and not thinking is like choosing to be lost.

P.S.
