I am starting to live a more healthier lifestyle I recently went rock climbing for the first time and I think I overworked my muscles because my arms and shoulders ache like hell. I want to workout today but not sure if its ok to work out if my muscles are achy.

I suggest that you do not workout at all. Tired muscles can be damaged or you could get an injury from over stressing them. I would drink plently of water and potassium that way you will not have cramping and the oxygen can get to all your muscles. I would stretch 2-3 times today so that nothing gets too sore and tightens up and cramps.

Your best bet is to rest, instead of working out. If you feel the need for yourself to workout then just stretch your sore muscles out a bit. But it would be best for you to take it easy. If you work out and do it excessively you may strain a muscle. I dont think you want that =)

you have to keep moving, otherwise the muscles will seize up and you think they hurt now!?! A massage might help too, or a hot bath. Congrats on your decision to be healthier, but oh yes, there will be pain...

i agree...light workout and stretching. you don't want to do nothing and be idle..that'll give your muscles an oppotunity to tighten up. keep them moving and loose...light workouts always make for good "recoveries."

lots of stretching. I would stick to light weights and light cardio. Don't burn yourself out too quickly!
