I need a good recipe for spaghetti squash and a good sauce to go with it.
I need something my whole family can eat...picky hubby, 5 year old and 11 month old. Thanks! Nothing spicy.

Spaghetti Squash Bowls:

1 spaghetti squash
1 medium onion
1 green pepper
1 clove garlic
4 medium tomatoes
2 TBS Extra Virgin Olive Oil
salt & pepper
1/4 tsp each oregano, basil, fennel seed
2 TBS butter
1/4 c parmesan

Pierce squash in several places for steam. Place on paper towel and microwave 18-23 min. turning after 8 min. until tender. Let stand uncovered @ 10 min. Cook onion, green pepper, and garlic in oil @5 min. Stir in tomatoes, s&p, oregano, basil and fennel. Simmer uncovered @ 5 min. Cut squash in half and discard seeds. Toss the fibers with butter and parmesan. Spoon tomato over squash and serve inside squash shell.

I added chopped crabmeat to this once and loved it.
You might want to go easy on the fennel seed just to go down easy for your 11 month old...Your 5 year old will think it's neat eating out of the squash shell and it has enough flavor for you 2 adults but without the spicyness for the kids.
Enjoy!

Easy Spaghetti Squash
This is a very easy recipe and makes a great side (although I use it for my meal).

4-6 servings
time to make 1¼ hours 10 min prep

1 medium spaghetti squash
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4-1/2 cup butter
salt and pepper to taste

1. Take a paring knife and stick little holes all over squash.
2. Put the squash in a baking dish and bake about an 1 hour at 350 degrees F. or until soft.
3. Cut the squash in half.
4. Scoop out seeds and throw them away.
5. Take a fork and "scrape" the inside of the squash into strings, letting them fall into a serving bowl.
6. Toss with Parmesan cheese and butter.
7. Salt and pepper to taste.

You can also add a jar or can of your favorite spaghetti sauce to the squash then sprinkle with parmesan cheese, very good both ways.

I bake it then scoop it out and toss it with a little spagetti/marinara sauce. My 6 year old is picky but he loves this.

Cut it in half, then bake it, scoop it and string it up with a fork. I like a good alfredo sauce with it, but a plain tomato sauce is good also.
