Some people find it really hard to talk to their ex, because all the good feelings from the relationship and/or the bad ones from the break up come up, and it just makes it difficult and awkward. Best to do as they wish, let them cool off for a bit. If it's worth the friendship, they'll come back!

Guys don't need ex-girlfriend's as friends and vice versa. That type of thing would never work and it never does. He's your ex for a reason. If he doesn't want to be in a relationship anymore then leave him alone. Being friends will never work and he knows this so you need to atleast respect his desicion.

Why would anyone want to be friends with an ex? Thats the past and no need to be friends...The only way to get over someone is to put distants between you two....

Lovers and friends are often not the same. I think you need to follow his lead and let it go. There is a reason that you are not together and pressuring him to be a friend can be really annoying. Why is friendship with someone who is not interested in being your friend so important?

You can't turn back time. It's very hard to become "friends" with someone you used to "love". Smart people know that it can't be done. You're being very disrespectful and manipulative with him if you continue to contact him when he's asked for none. Grow up! Love him enough to let him go and then actually GO.

Saying this as a guy I know this to be true. Women are more emotionally resilient than men. We seem to stay hurt for longer and hurt deeper than do women. Perhaps he does not want to be constantly reminded...

because "Once you've split up, it's time to give up"... no man in his right mind would want to keep his "ex" as a friend unless he still thought there was a chance they'd get back together... THATS IT!!!!!!!!! My advice is to just move on.. you'll be better off if you do...
