in class, the slightest noise breaks my concentration- is there something wrong with me?

I am taking Cymbalta 30 mg and Risperdal .25 mg... ones a antidepressant and the others a mood pill

You could have ADD - Attention Deficit Disorder - check out this website, take the test, then go see your family doctor!

You may have ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) there are medications a doctor can prescribe after diagnosis. You can also try taking Omega-3 Fatty Acids. You can buy them in the vitamin section of any store, I heard the Fish Oil variety works best.

NO.. nothing is wrong with YOU.. Some people ( I do not know how) but they can read a book with earphones listening to music.. I MOST certainly cannot. I cannot stand to hear noises when I am attempting to concentrate.. So. you are like I am/was. I have to be in a somewhat secluded place in order to study... In a classroom, though, it is very difficult to concentrate when other students are talking among themselves and/or other distractions.

In addition to what everybody else said, are you taking any medications at all? There are quite a few medications that can greatly affect your ability to concentrate. Be sure to tell your doctor about your difficulty concentrating, s/he should be able to help.

No there is nothing wrong with you. Some people are born multi taskers and do things better and learn better when doing multiple things at once. Try it. And even if you aren't a multi tasker oh well. There's still nothing wrong with you. If you were able to completely focus in class and never be distracted you would be a nerd.

Ask your doctor about medication, you can try something like Adderall...it's for ADD, Attention Deficit Disorder.

ADD....Attention deficit disorder. Both of my younger brothers have this...depending on how bad you have it you may need medication to gain control.
