I would recommend using baby shampoo's and conditioners, see your
local doctor and ask for a blood test, you may have a thyroid problem, or
you could be lacking in iron, please get it checked.
Good Luck

I suffered from a bout of alopecia a while ago and found it was actually related to nerves in my upper spinal area. I visited a chiropractor a few times and was amazed when the patch started to grow again.
It could also be stress related or early onset of male pattern baldness. If this is the case you could try a natural hair loss treatment like Nisim New Hair Biofactors. There are also spray on camouflage products from Nanogen.

Go to your doctor and have them check your hormone levels. Also a balanced diet does wonder for your hair. Also, a winter shed and a summer shed are common. Abnormal stress/Trauma can affect your hair(GOOD STRESS= pressure to succeed.BAD STRESS=Abusive relationships, severe financial worries)
There are good vitamin supplements that can help, but make sure to clear with your doctor first. Any of those miracle vitamins are hooey!
A great shampoo system Nioxin is great for thinning hair. A cause of thinning hair is an excess of sebum (crud) on the scalp that does not allow the follicle to breathe. It is a good shampoo to use because it is all natural, and unlike rogaine, you can use as needed and stop when desired results are acheived.
I hope I helped!

The same thing happened with me ... and it still does...
I asked my doctor if i was low in iron and some other thing and the doctor said that there was nothing wrong. And so after i just stopped Ironing my hair for 3 months and i took shower twice a week, ate healthy, and massaged my head once a week, and i got my heart pumpin by doing jumping jacks, and then my hair was good again. Also i cut i inch of my hair cuz my hair felt heavy. Also when i combed my hair, i did it lightly so that i don't pull any hairs.

Hi there - I really sympathise,
I'm at the same worrying stage too. See the answers I got for the same question in the pregnancy section - 'how do I improve my hair' - following the advise I got I went to a herbalist store to buy some multi-vitamins and they also advised that I get some Kelp and Alfalfa tablets (they supposedly promote hair growth and strength) -
Also, as I was advised my many others - try not to worry (as stress will just aggrivate it)! - I just keep thinking if the worst happens and it all falls out I'll get a wig (hee hee) - Also, they say when it eventually decides to grow back it comes back in better condiition.
Wish you well....

I think you should go and see your local doctor straight away, but after you've read this. If you use straighteners then stop and if u blow dry your hair then stop as any heat can damage your hair. No girl would want to end up bald.

Do the following two things:
1) Rogain for women
2) Ask your hair stylist what types of haircuts will be best for your thinning hair.

Hi Miss,
I don't think you can. If it were possible then it would be well known as millions of men would snap it up.
Perhaps go and see your GP, they can advise as there are many reasons for loosing your hair.
Good luck and, I know this is impossible but, try not to worry. You are made up of more than your hairline.

Hair straighteners often damage the hair. Stop using them and see if the problem goes away.

my sister has a thyroid problem and i thought it was the meds making her hair so thin on top.. but i do wonder about men and women of color having their hair in tight braids, if that would cause baldness.. bummer eh
