Mexico wants to go to the UN over the border fence. What do you think about that?

Let them, they will lose.This is our country and since when has what the UN says ever really mattered to anyone,or any nation.It needs to be abolished and disbanded.It is an ineffectual toothless entity that does nothing but suck up funds from the world.
Mexico needs to fix Mexico and stay out of our country's business.If they kept up their side of the border and stopped, instead of encouraging, the illegals,then a fence wouldn't be needed.That will only make the ones that may have questioned the fence before even more adamant to have it built,if only in defiance of Mexico.Its being built/going to be built 100% on land that belongs to the US.
Mexico needs to stop trying to delve into Americans business because they are too lazy or too backward to fix the problems in Mexico.

That is of course clearly ridiculous ... the UN has no say in whether a country lawfully builds fences or dams or whatever they ruddy well like inside their own borders ... they just MIGHT sit up and take notice if we committed genocide on Mexicans ... and possibly, after years of discussion, agree to some kind of sanctions ... but for building a fence on our own property? With North Korea, Iran and other troublespots needing their attention, who really thinks the UN would give two flying farts about Mexico's whining about a fence??

Our border, Our fence, Our expense, Our country (in spite of what Mexico and some of our citizens think)... besides, the U.N. did nothing about the Berlin Wall or the demilitarized zone in Korea, so why would they have a say about whether or not we put up a fence to protect our borders? Perhaps, if we were trying to keep people IN (as with the Berlin Wall), but that's not the case here.

II think we should by the same occasion go to UN against them for their mistreatment of Maya Indians from the chiappas and Guatemalan illegal alien who cross their border to get a better life.I need to remind you that illegal alien from other poorer central American countries are tortured by Mexican army and border guard.They also have the worst corrupted police in the world apart of Trinidad/Tobago and Brazil. If they could use their
army to deal with the evil police and use the money of their economy to deal with poverty am sure less people would
think of venture near the us border. Country like India, Cuba, china had deal with their high birth rate problem but Mexico refuse to do so because they want more poor Mexican baby to grow-up to become adult illegal alien. It's just a dumb plan in order to take back the territory that they lost militarily during the Mexican/American war in the last century.I think we should construct that 700 miles wall, and by sharp contrast put one tiny, single door right in the middle with "legal immigrant, over here!" written in big scripture of neon bright color on top of that door.The funny part of this is that US government is closing the eye for the hiring of illegal Mexican alien by contractors to build the wall, because it make them save money, its a very expensive project.

The President Elect doesn't want to. He's against the fence, but believes we should have bilateral discussions. The UN cannot tell the US whether or not they can build a fence on their own property. The idea is ludicrous.

WHERE I LIVE, WE HAVE ABOUT 49% HISPANIC COMMUNITY. I'M NOT SURE WHO IS HERE LEGALLY OR NOT, BUT I KNOW WHY MANY LIVE HERE. IT IS THE WORK THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO DO THAT OTHERS WON'T. THEY ARE HERE BECAUSE OF THEIR OWN COUNTRY FAILING THEM TO HAVE A GOOD ECONOMY. I DON'T THINK A FENCE WILL STOP THEM FROM COMING, BUT IT SURE MAY SLOW THIS DOWN. MAYBE IF WE WOULD HELP GROW THEIR ECONOMY WE COULD HAVE AN OPEN BOARDER.

IN SAYING THIS, THE U.N. HAS NO SAY WHETHER WE BUILD A FENCE OR NOT. TEXAS, NEW MEXICO AND OTHER STATES BOARDER MEXICO, NOT A PART OF MEXICO THAT WE CAN BE TOLD NO.

Perhaps once the US shows what a good and effective way the 700 mile wall will be to stop immigration this will stiffle the international criticism. Surely the principled and effective Bush administration studied this matter well before the new law was enacted and can back its decision with statistics and studies. One thing for sure, the wall was definitely NOT proposed to gain or keep Republican votes.

I think its BS. they seem to not want to stem the flow, If you looked at there immigration policies they are in no position to talk about it. and what we do in our country is really non of there concern. And the issue that it will further divide our people, Is ridiculous to, If the flow of Illegals continues at the current rate, the divide between our 2 countries will be so big that it may never close.
