1 cup = 8 oz so 2 cups = 16 oz

1 less oz should not make a difference

This is the same as solid pack pumpkin in the 15 oz can. It is not the same as pumpkin pie filling in the can - the filling has all the spices to make a pumpkin pie. The solid pack pumpkin is just pumpkin.

Found this for you:

Fresh pumpkin: 5 pound pumpkin is equal to about 4.5 cups cooked and mashed

Canned pumpkin: a 15 ounce can is equal to 1.75 cups mashed

Good luck!
