He didn't mess up - man did. You might want to actually read the story before you start ripping on it.

You raise a good point. A perfect God would by definition have to make a perfect creation since imperfection cannot flow from perfection. Before God floods the earth, the author of this part of Genesis says that God was "Sorry that God had ever made humankind." A being that is perfect can't be moved to remorse, especially over something that this perfect diety created. Also, remorse is expressed over a mistake or shortcoming. A perfect diety would experience neither of these things since it breaks the rules of perfection.

You are probably already on to this, but there is not one, consistent picture of God in the Bible. Rather, what we find in the Bible is the evolution of a diety as ideas about this diety chaged over the ages. God moves from a changing, whimisical, emotionally volitile (again, impossible for a being that is perfect/imassive) and ignorant is some cases to the God of the later N.T. who is in complete control, never fluctuating, etc. (although, this God is claimed to be moved to anger - which again challenges the impassable argument for God). Good question, I hope this helped a bit.

Are you kidding me.

I am sure any house of God will be glad to help you,.
I also want to say, I have never heard any one call the "flood" and Noah's arch a story. The word story implies it is something made up. I am sure your able to look around today and see that we have choices that God has given us. And you can also see what a crappy job most of us are doing. We are killing our selves we are killing our world. NOT GOD. The flood occurred because our ancestors were screwing up. And in a way much like the way most of us are doing now. And yes, there are alot more reasons for the flood, at least too many to post here and now.

If you need spiritual direction your need to visit a church and NOT a web site.

All my best on your spiritual journey. You will not be sorry if you take it more seriously than you are now.

God did not mess up man messed up. What people have to understand is that every one has the choice of life and death. Life is about choices. In the beginning when Adam and Eve was created God gave them specific orders and They chose to disobey so out of that came death. That was not his plans for us to destroy us. He want us to be happy and have a good life but he also wants us to obey him. For example when you where a child and your parent might have said look I've painted the second bedroom you can go any where in the house but the second bedroom if you do your going to be in trouble. and so at that moment you have choice okay So you decide well I'll just peek in she'll never know.........She comes home and instantly knows that your been in the room because the door was closed but now it's cracked. She goes to find you and your hiding because your scared and you know that you've done wrong. She finds you and your really punished because one you openly disobeyed her and two now you have paint every where. Do you get my point. Your mom didn't mess because she painted the room or had a little disobedient child you messed up because you disobeyed. Choices my friend. God also warned Adam and Eve on what would happen if they ate from the tree they would surely die. So from sin comes death.

God is a holy God and cannot be tried for anything evil. Yes, he is perfect. The reason he destroyed those people was because the violence got so bad. God gives us free will to make good or bad decisions, so if we make a wrong one, it's our fault. God did warn all those people that if they did not change he would destroy them. It my seem to cruel for some, but imagine if your children were being murdered and treated horrible for so long, and people were speaking falsely about you? What would you do back then? God not only is a god of love, but a god of justice.
He did what he did for his people, and to give us an example today. Do you see a contrast today with all the violence and oppression? Believe me when I say it will soon be ended by God.
Read Psalms 37:10,11 if you really would like to know.

God didn't end life on earth because he messed up. He gave humans minds of their own, so that they could make their own choices. He ended the world because they had gotten so wicked. Why does everyone want to judge the bible so much anyways? The bible is a spiritual book and only the spiritual can truely understand God's word.

I shall assume that you are talking about when god caused the 'great flood' in the time ofh is before me god said. Noah..'' The end of all flesh is before me '' god said. Mankind ended up in a mess because of Adam and Eve choosing to disobey god and not remain faithful to him. Also some of the angels went forsaking their original positions and took for themselves fleshly bodies and from among the daughters of " men " , wifes for themselves, who bore them sons, the Nephilim.
The whole earth became filled with violence and badness and god felt regret that he had made mankind, and hurt at heart . Genesis 6 v 6-9. however, he provided safe passage through the flood for Noah and his family.
It is very wrong of you to slander God by saying that god messed up. nothing came around by consequence of god's direct actions. just the same as if you go out and murder someone it is not god's fault for letting you live, or for not making the person you kill be somewhere else at the time of the murder. we all have free will. All intelligent creation does, this includes of course the angels. the issues of god's sovereignty and his right to limit us and place conditions upon us was brought to the fore when god amde mankind back in Eden. What will you do ? that is up to you.

God doesn't make mistakes. He makes people and THEY make mistakes. He did not destroy all life on Earth. If you are talking about the Great Flood, he saved 8 righteous people--Noah, his wife, their 3 sons and the sons 3 wives. If you are talking about Sodom and Gomorrah, he spared Lot and his family. Ninevah is another example of people gone "wicked", but God sent Jonah to warn them of destruction if they did not change their ways. I think that all of this proves that God is merciful. He gives us chances time and time again to turn away from sin, and if we don't, it's our own fault.

Peace.

Who were the ones that messed up? God or humans?

In his great wisdom he gave us, same as his angels, free will. He didn't want robots to worship him. He wants us to WANT to be with him. So he doesn't force himself on us.
But this free will comes with a price. If we choose sin (which we all do, "all sin and fall short of the glory of God") we will die.
So, God sent prophets, they were usually ignored. Then he sent his son.
WE, as sinners choose sin over the love of God. WE have this flesh that calls us to sin.
But there is hope and salvation in Jesus the christ, "I am the way the truth and the life,no one come to the father except through me!" Believe, repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus christ and you will be saved. Acts 2:38
So, God didn't mess up, we did/do.

Mainly because that God is perfect, but his idea of perfection may not make anyone happy or satisfied. You can look at current events and draw your own conclusions, but they may not differ from mine in any significant way.

People messed up (sin). He didn't end all life--Noah and his family continued to exsist as did other animals in the ark; the fish in the seas were not destroyed. Sorry to disappoint you.....
