They may be illegal but they have shored up social security with funds the US fails to advise you of. Most of these workers will never collect a penny in social security benefits
Seven million undocumented workers in the U. S. pay $7 BILLION annually into Social Security. The common yap on the street characterizes Mexican immigrants as people who take advantage of the system here & return nothing in the process. Leaving aside for now the matter of billions paid in sales taxes across the nation, since the late 1980s when the system began receiving millions of obviously bogus W-2 earnings statements, complete with fake SS numbers, it began holding them in what is called a "earnings suspense file." During the 1990s, $189 billion in wages ended up in this file. In our current decade the file is growing at a rate of over $50 billion annually. In 2002, nine MILLION W-2s with incorrect numbers were filed away accounting for 1.5% of total reported earnings for the entire nation

The monies will remain in the Social Security suspense file.
The benefits to be paid will only be generated from current earnings as of May, 2006.(The greater majority of illegals accepted the fact that they would never be able to collect. But they worked anyway.)
See following:
The Senate voted on May 15, 2006 to allow illegal aliens to collect Social Security benefits based on past illegal employment — even if the job was obtained through forged or stolen documents that millions of undocumented immigrants pay Social Security and Medicare taxes for years and sometimes decades while they work to contribute to our economy,
Social Security.
Broke? Its doubtful.
(And blame the employers. They knew these people were using bogus social security numbers. They just didn't care.)

The "facts" are now coming from the federal government themselves. And I am sorry - no - I am NOT sorry, but some of you act as though you OWN the United States. Which you don't of course.I'm a US citizen, born and raised here. But I know my history. Perhaps ome of you should check it out also. Because in a sense we are all immigrants. Our forefathers were killers, occupiers invaders, torturers, robbers. and thieves. It is as simple as that. So stop putting down others because they want to come here and make a living. Those before you did....and they were willing to kill for it.
