get a ceramic flat iron, those work the best- or you can always purchase one from the grocery store, drug store, those work but not as good as a ceramic one from let's say-a specialty beauty store. you can also find them online just type in ceramic iron- when your hair is damp use a product such as paul mitchell, he has a straightening spray designed to calm frizzy, curly, wavy, hair- blow dry your hair with that product in and then when it is completely dry ( you dont want to straighten your hair when it is the least bit damp or that will cause breakage) take a brush or comb and start at the root combing your hair down and with the ceramic iron following it. use the comb as a guide for the iron. that way your hair is evenly separated for the iron to touch all pieces.

If you don't have a straightener then you should take a shower or at least get it wet and then dry it but do not put any products in your hair that will make it have more body. After that dry it with towel then with a blow dryer brush it while you are drying it.

There are many ways to straighten your hair - a "hot comb" as it is typically known for most women of color; a flat iron, more commonly used today by many women, hair dryer and brush, or thermal hair straightening - something that could cost you up to $1,000.

There are lots of ways to straighten hair. How curly is your hair. Based on that will probably determine what process to use. My hair is curly, but not kinky, so I can blow dry my hair, but that can be pretty harsh.

Get a ceramic flat iron and make sure your hair is fully dry and brushed and go at it...I heard the Chi straightner works the best!
