Welcome home.
Start going to Mass every week.

1) Ask someone you know who is a good, practicing Catholic to help you.
2) Find out what time confessions are scheduled at your local church and go. Tell the priest it's been a long time, and that you need him to guide you through.
3) Start attending Mass every Sunday, as all Catholics are obligated to do. After you've confessed and received absolution, you can receive Communion, as well.
4) Send me a shipping address and I'll mail you a copy of my free Catholic Resource CD, so you can start brushing up on all the things you ought to know about the Catholic Church, and about your very own personal mission in life.
5) Get involved in the various projects and community activities at your church. It's the best way to experience faith in action, and to discover your particular God given talents.
Faithful worship, work, sacraments, and prayer. It works every time!
May God Bless you, and keep you, and grant you peace.

The Bible says if you believe in your heart in God and call upon His name you are saved. It sounds like you already do believe in God. You can go to church and it's the best way to learn how to live as God wants you to, but you already DO believe. I'm not Catholic and I think that church says you have to go to THAT church to be saved but that is contradictory to the Bible. If you were lost in the middle of the desert somewhere and called on Jesus He would hear you and you would be saved. It's really just that simple. Some people and churches try to make it so complicated with rituals and words but it's the simplest thing in the world. Look around you at the beauty of the world God created, look in the mirror at yourself, you are a beautiful creation of God - how could you NOT believe?

First of all, you're still a Catholic. All you have to do is go to confession. When you're in there, tell the priest your situation and he'll help you through it. If you haven't been Confirmed you need to talk to the priest later, after confession.
Will be praying for you, God bless.

Yes call your local Catholic Church and ask them when the RICA program is and go and definitely learn. It's a wonderful experience. Do not believe all these people here who say things about our Holy Mother. I think deep down they are just jealous they were not called.

Saying you are a Catholic means what exactly?
Great question!
Please consider these tidbits:
Jews for Jesus = Vegetarians for Hamburgers
God? He or She?
Church? Christianity? Jesus? Dying?
What is the Imacculate Conception supposed to mean?
Does Imacculate Conception have anything to do with "VIRGIN BIRTH"?
Google Imacculate Conception and learn that is NOT.
What else do you falsely believe?
Jesus, the basis of Christianity? .
If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.
Can Gods die?
If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?
Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?
No Eternal sacrifice, big deal for a day!
If Jesus died for our sins, there should not be any more sins, else why go through with it?.
If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!
Life after death is like virginity after childbirth.
If the flesh of Jesus died, what was seen walking and talking on Sunday?
If you believe this stuff, you are not going to like the folks who don't. You want them to believe it too to validate you.
Christians want everyone to convert to their non-thinking in order to be 'saved'.
Believing and not thinking is like choosing to be lost.
P.S.

then turn as far and as fast as you can from Catholicism, Seek Jesus on your hands and knees if you believe that he was crucified for your sins and beg his forgiveness and ask Him to save your soul. That is what is required, then get you a good bible KJV OR NEWKJV and start reading to get grounded, pray that God send you a group of real Christians to fellowship with and to grow with and He will be faithful to provide these people to you... God Bless.....

I'm not Catholic. But as a Protestant, I would confess my sin to God and then find a church to go to.

go baptist, methodist, or assembly of God, these don't require you to confess to a "priest" no offense or anything, but if you don't want the strict and unorthodox ways of catholocism, and believe in jesus for who he really is, then my friend your best bet would be to change your faith.
