You need to finish school befor you can go into the Navy anyway, so just wait until you are 18 and no longer need your parents permission.

Wait two more years, the military life is not to be taken lightly. There was a time you could join at 16, but even then most washed out at that age. Boot camp isn't that physically demanding, but it is psychologically, and few 16 yr. olds can handle that. Beside the fact you have to have the test scores to determine what your job in the Navy will be. And don't ever trust the recruiter, they will say what ever it takes to meet their enlistment quota. Do a little research andfind out from other sourses, what it takes to get into the field you are interested in.

The main thing is how much you are crazy abt it.U r in class 10 so this is the age when first time men think abt his profession and air -force,navy are glamorous lines people attract abt it but when once you are placed somewhere else then u feel that u was not in wrong line.I am not saying that navy is not a good line this is as good as other but think deeply before u go against ur parents. However abt convincing them the only way is that show them that u are serious abt it.you have 2 years i think this is sufficient.

Sit down and talk. Thats about it.
Take time to sit with your parents and tell them the reason why you want to join the navy, then vice versa, listen to the reason why your parents don't want you to join.
The media pushes people dieing in the army, navy, RAF in our faces. Your parents may just be fearful of you getting hurt and them losing you.
They are most likely saying this out of your best interests.
The navy doesn't pay alot and it can be risky, there are plenty of other things you could do that would pay better and is safer.
Don't rush into this and take time to think and take time to talk, explain and listen to your parents.
Hope I helped.

You don't need your parents permission to enlist in the US Navy (not sure what country you are from) once you turn 18. Best of luck to you :-)
