It is always difficult to say who is the best player, players r so different. Most people will say Larsson or Laudrup are the best, and both were magnificent players, but different. Larsson scored a lot more goals and set up more than his share too, but Laudrup had far more assists and was better at beating opposition players. For me, Henrik's goals record makes him a better choice for a team.

Henrik Larsson was one of best players to play in Britain never mind the SPL.There has been a great few Scottish and foreign players that have played in Scotland. From Jinky Johnstone,Jim Baxter,Paul Gasgoine,Laudrup,Richard Gough,Peter Marinello,Peter Cormack,Gordon Stachan.John Robertson,Billy Bremnar and many more.I am sure i have missed many out.
Like Kenny Dagleish ang Graeme Souness. As for Henrik i thought he was pure class.

I'd say he's been one of the best. It's prolly a toss up between Larsson & Brian Laurdrup. Larsson scored goals and created numerous others. Laudrup scored em..and was an outstanding player all round.

Probably in the SPL but not in Scotland. There were better players in the past, before the SPL was set up.

Without any shawdow of doubt. His attitude and professionalism were remarkable. Had options to move to Man U and others but remained at Paradise. Mind you earning £44,000 a week helped. Must be the best bargain ever in world football. Went on to do it at Barca too. Laudrup and Gazza did nothing when they moved from Castle Greyskull. Even a horrific injury didn't dare on him and almost won the UEFA cup on his own. Unfortunately I don't when when we'll see a truely world class player in the SPL again.

'Best' is rather subjective, though Henrik had an outstanding career in the SPL and his goal scoring records are sorely missed.

Very close, but I would have to go with Laudrup, exciting to watch and a team player.
But when you really think of it what a league that was then,Laudrup,Gascoigne,Larsson, Decanio, McCoist, Sauzee to name but a few.
Very entertaining.

Possibly in terms of skill and goals/games ratio but you have to remember he only played for the Tic for 7 years, you had players like Ally McCoist and John Robertson and gary Mackay who pretty much played thier entire careers in the SPL and were good servants at that

no it was Brian Laudrup,Larsson was a great goal scorer, but Laudrup was a brilliant player who could dribble past players at will, score fantastic goals and could control a game with his vison and skill,i am a Dundee united supporter by the way.
