I have a bottle of Marily Merlot 1995 in mint condition and I would like to sell it. I tried eBay but it only allows certified wine sellers to sell wine and they require 30% commission or more on the sale. I am in New York city (Manhattan). Does anyone know how else I can sell it? Any wine collectors clubs in the area or online? This is a wine that sells for $500 per bottle and I'm willing to sell it as low as $200.

There are two auction sites dedicated to selling wine:

www.winecommune.com

www.winebid.com

Have you tried donating it to a wine auction? Sure, it's a donation, but you can write the whole amount off your taxes. And wine auction proceeds usually go to a charity. In CA, the money goes towards hospitals and childrens' funds.

I would say an auction sight, or you might find a local restaraunteur who would purchase it from you.
