Personally, if I found out the pharamacist was a Creationist, I would go to another store. This isn't meant as an attack on any person specifially, no pharamacist was harmed.

personally If it doesn't interfer with his ability to do his job then why would it matter? Besides that how would you even know what he believes unless you interview your pharmacist which I think would be a bit radical no matter what you believed...

Of course. There are people on both sides of the issue who are highly intelligent and like the person above said licensed. There's no reason to believe that they have disregard for anyone's health. I think the add on to this question may be, can you be a creationist and a scientist and again contrary to belief there are enough of them. There are also scientists who are atheists who are critical of evolutionary theory as it is being taught.
Note: There is evidence that a number of creationists have experienced some degree of prejudice, including losing jobs, having degree's rescinded and even noble prize candidates when it was revealed they questioned evolution suddenly dropped off the list. Sometimes I hear the claim the reason why creationism shouldn't be allowed because then all theists would do is say because God made it that way. Well what is wrong with saying if God made it that way this is how he may have done it. each side needs to respect the fact that disagreeing with someone doesn't make your opinion any less intelligent. It is the accusing the other side of being stupid that actually requires less intelligent consideration.

I have an insane pharmacist. I don't know what his religion is, or if he has one, but he's absolutely barking mad. Last time I went in there for my diabetic medication, he had me running laps around the store to "slim down" before he'd give it to me.

No, there's no joke coming.

I don't think I'd care one way or another what my pharmacist believed about the origins of the universe in their own personal lives. As long as they were qualified and ideally not barking mad, I'd be happy to take the meds they gave me on instruction from my doctor. I don't know what my doctor believes about the origins of the universe either, and unless she shares it with me, it's none of my business, is it?

I'm glad to hear that you have not been attacking your pharmacists. LOL
I do not "get to know" people well enough whom I just briefly encounter in a professional setting. And I have no idea who is a fruit-loop and who is not. I guess I just take my chances with whoever is behind the counter, and trust human resources to be sensible enough to not put a retard in charge.
But, I'm not on any prescription drugs, so it doesn't really apply to me, and my healthy family of atheists.

Man... If the man who made your toothbrush believes in God would you let drop your teeth with cavity because of that, or would you ask the doctor who is saving your life, are you a creationist or evolutionist??? Be smart, and PAY THE PRICE.

of course it's an attack on a specific person! In 21 years of doing Pharmacy, I've never had a patient ask. And for the record......I'm both. The two need not be exclusive of each other.

I agree. The people who are "creationists" are in my opinion, just religious whackos. I want a "scientist" dealing with my meds! Creationists are likely to be predisposed to some ideas that may influence their abilities to properly dispense medications.

I make it a point NOT to do business with anyone who advertizes the little fish symbol.....I know that I would just get screwed by them! It's happened too many times.

My pharmacist is a Christian but he is the non-judgmental type. I have moved my account away from other stores where they placed a morality on a prescription. One told my doctor that he was wrong to prescribe a certain drug to me. Can you beat that? My doctor and I let this woman have it with 'both barrels'. My doctor at that time was a Christian and he was offended buy this cow's 'holier than thou' attitude.

Ok. That's rather a harsh judgement, if you think they would not be able to do their job as a pharmacist without believing the same as you. Now, if you just want to give your money to people who believe the same as you, I have no problem with that.
