he has a ringworm and we wanted the cream to stay on so my husband wrapped the are, and when he woke up his leg was a little swollen. He is scared it will fall off because it has not had blood to it. My mom said it should be ok., but he wants me to take him to a doctor, I don't think it is that serious.

don't wrap him so tight! As long as there is no discoloration of the skin he should be fine.

If he has no feeling in it, or the swelling hasnt gone down take him in right away.

If he has feeling and can use it without any problem or loss of control then he is most likely okay.

NEVER wrap something around a persons limb unless you know what you're doing. Your son could very well lose his leg. Instead use adhesive bandages around the area you're trying to protect.

It is probably just swollen from wrapping his leg too tight. Wait a day or two and if you don't see any improvement then take him to the doctor.

I dont think ur son will lose his leg.. just make sure not to wrap it up so tight next time..

I had ring worm last summer and i used a really good home remedy and got rid of it in about 48 hours... coat the ring worm and the area around it with clear nail polish. you can wash the nail polish off with remover when u see the ring worm is gone and u wont have to worry about it wiping of in ur sons sleep :D

Keep putting the cream on the ringworm and it will go away. It usually only takes a couple days. Your pharmacist should be able to get you the ointment. I don't think you need to go to the doctor.

Call the doctor or your local ask-a-nurse. They'll let you know if they think it's serious and they want to see him.

with the cream, all you need to do is rub it in, not just put it on there. Sounds like the bandage was too tight.

take him to the doctor. Just because you see no blood doesn't necesarily mean it's not dangerous

If its still the same skin pigment as it was before, then its okay...But if the color is turning purple or dark blue, then unwrap it and take him to a doctor.. Ring worm really needs to be treated properly...
