I've managed to simplify it to -5x=3x now what do I do? Or have I missed a step?

distribute first:
15-x=15+3x
move the 15 to the left side
15-15-x=3x
-x=3x move the -x
0=4x
so; x=0 b/c 4 time 0=0
to check, plug in the 0 for x in the original equation
hope this explains it

Wow, a lot of people gave you crap answers to an easy algebra problem
5(3-x)=3(5+x) distribute on both sides
15-5x=15+5x then even ou thte sides so x is on one side and
solid numbers are on the other
15-15=5x+5x
0=5x only 0 * 5 will equal to 0
x=0
I believe someone else gave you this answer as well, but 0 is the answer

5(3-x) = 3(5+x) >>>>> 15-5x = 15+3x
take the -5x to the rhs and we have
+3x-(-5x) =8x and the 15s cancel each other out
>>> 0= 8x >>>>>>> x=0
check in original equation 5*3 =3*5 >>> 15 = 15
i hope that this helps

5(3-x)=3(5+x)
(the decimal point is used to denote multilpication)
(5.3)-(5.x)=(3.5)+(3.x)
15-5x=15+3x
(put all like numbers together, therefore)
15-15=3x+5x
0=8x
0/8 = x
0=x
(x=0 substitute in equation to see if true)
5(3-x) = 3(5+x)
5(3-0) = 3(5+0)
5.3= 3.5
15=15
therefore, x=0

there's something seriously wrong with that equation, unless x = 0.
Because, when i multiplied the brackets out I got 15 - 5x = 15 + 3x.
Then I collected like terms (i.e. al the x's together) and I got
15 = 15 + 8x [3x +5x]
So the only value of x that fits would be 0.

don't you think it's a bit rude to come on here and ask a question then criticize people for answering you.
If you don't like it, then you can do your work yourself.
oh, your answer is zero, wouldn't want to hit submit without answering you.
Next time try to be a little nicer.
