Do you mean feeding and everything? You need to go to a vet or pet store and buy milk replacement. Very important. Bottles small enough for the breed. You can buy these at the pet store also. If it is a large breed regular baby bottles. I had pugs that I had to feed because the mother had an infection. At first I fed them every 2 hours. You will know, they will squeek. But they just keep eating so you have to watch their tummies to know when they are full. If they will not suck you can get an eye dropper to get them to eat at first. Especially if they had any taste of the mother's milk at all. They will not like the replacement. Do not let the milk go up their nose! If the mom is not around at all you also need to make them go potty. They will not do it on their own. The mom's licking stimulates them to go. You need some cotton balls dipped in warm water. Just stroke their privates until they pee and poop. This is also a must!!! Keep them warm!! I put a heating pad in the bottom of their box but put a towel on top. Never let them lay directly on top of the heating pad. They could get scalded. Other then the round the clock constant care it's easy!!!!!! No kidding. It's a job. I had to hand rear 5 babies. By the time I woke up, fed 5, got 5 to go potty. . . .it was time to get up and start all over again. I put them on baby cereal in 3 weeks. They loved it.

first you need to go to farmer store or vets and get a tin of puppy milk and the best thing to do is go to the chemist or drug store and get a baby's bottle and one medium hole teat and make up a bottle for your pup and give him the milk every 3 to 4 hours if the pup wont suck from the bottle go to the vets and ask your vet for a few syringes and do it that way but you must sterilise everything as you need to be so clean with the pup keep it warm put a very Luke warm hot water bottle under his bet it will keep the pup warm you are not saying where the mother of the pup is i breed dogs ie bichon frise the mother of mine had seven pups two years ago and was not well i had to rear all the seven pups and they all turned out fine don't give pup cows milk it will give the pup the trots bad and that pup needs a good start will also need feeding through the nite its not easy hand rearing a pup when my pups where then you will have to start weaning the pup hope this helps if you go to the library you can get a book called( BOOK ON THE *****) it will tell you all you need to know in there RITE FROM BIRTH UP UNTILL THEY LEAVE THE HOME ITS A VERY GOOD BOOK

It is a nightmare. You bottle feed with a special small bottle and teat you can get from the vets or pet suppliers.

You then feed every two hours, day and night. I can't remember how long you have to keep this up, but gradually you are able to expand the gaps between feeds.

Even then it might be fruitless, because hand-reared pups are very prone to disease in the early stages.

Best of luck, anyway.

Yes I have, I live in Egypt and here dogs are looked on as vermin and badly treated. I found 3 pups, eyes not even open on a rubbish dump. I took them home, one died next day but I reared 2. I went to pharmacy and got baby milk powder, fed with an eye dropper every 2 hours, after feeding you need to stimulate them to pee, I got warm damp cotton wool and you stroke their genitals with the cotton wool until they go to the toilet. After a few days I was able to feed them with a small baby's bottle. I actually kept them in the bath lying on a big bath towel and put newspaper the other end of the bath for the 'loo'. Most pups won't soil their bed. I also gave them a teddy bear to lie with.. I managed to raise them successfully, Good luck with yours, you will be tired for a while as its like having a new baby, up every 2 hours to feed. By the way we have no vet's here and no shops that sell things for pets, we have to improvise. As they grew I also included baby rice and then jars of baby food, until they were able to eat other things.

I have done it once before its feeding time every four hours through the night aswell and they well certainly let you know that they are hungry cause they won't stop howling.....i started with a littl bit of milk on my little finger to get them use to the suckling motion then moved to a bottle. Its a great feeling but very time consuming and tiring but all worth to know that you've help a puppie

if mum is there let them keep warm with her if not a cardboard box lined with newspaper does.with a waterbottle wrapped in towels to keep then warm(while they have no teeth)an an old alarm clock helps keep them content as it resembles there mothers heartbeat a good baby milk formula is a good feed from a perpet the chemist will supply you with one for less than £1feed little an often and massage there bellys n back end afterwards to stimulate there bowels as this is what their mother would do good luck stick at it its time consumeing but very rewarding hope this helps nower days your vet will prob sell puppy formula too

Puppies are like babies they take a lot of care to start with but are worth every minute. have your pup checked by a vet, get it inoculated once a year, train it to do its business outside, make sure it has plenty of things to play with besides your furniture! if you have to go out for any length of time.
Take it for long walks on a lead especially at night, then it will sleep better. Do not hit your puppy to make it listen to you , repetition is the best way. Good luck and believe me you will enjoy every minute with your dog woof woof.

i had to hand rear my dogs puppies because her milk had dried up and she rejected them, its a lot of hard work especially in the night every 4 hours feed, then hanging them over the toilet and wiping their 'bits' to stimulate them to go to the toilet. i bought a proper puppie feeding bottle which they didnt take to so i bought a propper human baby bottle and they loved it. i loved feeding them i used to rest their little heads on my hand and hold the bottle between my thumb and forfinger and they used to go mad for it, if you do need any help or more advice just use the link on my picture to email me and i will give you some more info hope they are getting on ok
