The richer the colour the more benefits.... the darker the vegetable the better.... fruits also carry different benefits dependent on the fruit. Banana's high in Potassium as an example.... eat a well balanced diet with at least 5 fruits and vegetables each day..fresh....not processed..though I do tend to buy frozen peas....try an incorporate vegetables into whatever your making for dinner or lunch. Cut up an apple and add it to a salad for a nice change and juicy crunch. Not sure there is such thing as a bad fruit or vegetable... although not all fruit and veg agree with everybodies system.. Pineapple for example...I love it but it gives me the worst stomach aches never been able to totally work out why but it just does. Probably due to the high acid level....though grapefuit doesnt affect me..... trial and error I guess...good luck with your choices...

All kinds of fruits and vegetables are good for us.
Eating too much banana can cause you indigestion.
If you don't know how to prepare Yam, don't eat it because it's poisonous. Some kinds of mushroom are also poisonous. Always cook mushroom with water cress. Water cress has intoxicating abilities. Carrots are good for your eyes. Dragon fruit is good for cooling. Eating guava core with seeds might cause swelling of appendix. Papaya is also good for cooling.
All fruits and vegetables are good. However, right amount is medicine and over limit is dangerous.

Green vegetables are great for you and probably better than the others like corn. Broccoli, spinach, lettuce, etc. are really good. Fruits such as berries, strawberries, blueberries, etc. are good. Bananas are good for potassium. Oranges good for vitamin C.
I am sure you have heard the old saying, "An Apple a day, keeps the doctor Away!" Apples are supposed to be very good for you.

Carrots, leafy greens, apples for vitamin A, oranges for vitamin C....bananas are a good source of potassium as are potato skins....onions.....just keeping a variety of fresh fruits and veggies in your diet in general is beneficial. Some fruits are largely water content but they are still healthier than eating prepackaged junk food....
