I haven't had a date in about five months and I really want to start dating again. What are some things that I can do get back in that dating pool? And where is the best place to meet a guy?

The internet! HA just teasing..I really don't know where to tell you to go since i don't really go out but i hope you find someone that you will date and have fun with.

Well first off always be yourself. When your out act like your not trying to be bothered with anyone, because i pretty sure u know that on the days your not wanting to be bothered or the days that u think u don't look good is the days that they stalk u, but i can't really say where to go to meet a guy because clubs are to loud and church is so played out and nine times out of ten they married. But do you're normal everyday activities and don't look for them cause trust they will find u. I don't want to say the Internet because u find crazy people and Trappist on the web but not all the time so if your willing to do that then go for it. Places like the mall, in a downtown area shopping, there every where but no place in specifics that i can say but when u see someone u might like then make sure u make eye contact so that they no it's ok for them to approach. They have over the phone (party lines) hook ups too. But girl have your friends get their boyfriend friends come out and have u meet one of them. Other then that, I'ma keep it real do your thang, and do u and in the process u will meet someone because when u go out and look that's when u find the worst. So do as God say and be patient u know if nobody else he got yo back.

I have met a couple of guys on the internet and do not see the difference between that and meeting a guy in person. I know some people think it is weird, but give it a try.
Otherwise, I asked the same question and got some good ideas: join a club/professional organization, church, speed dating (you can find this on cupid.com), etc.

Whatever you do steer clear of clubs and bars, if you want a nice, polite and intelligent date you aren't likely to find one in these type of places.
Just strike up a conversation with someone you like the look of, you never know where it could lead.
Coffee shops are good places to meet people, nice relaxed atmosphere, easy general chit chat could turn into full blown date!

I think the best way to meet a guy is at the bar. I mean that is usually where all the guys go to meet girls, and another is start hanging out with your friends that have guy friends or something like that.

The auto parts store or a hardware store. I've also heard that the grocery store is a good place to meet men.
I'd just ask your friends if they know of anyone who's available for dating.

The best attractor is a smile. Smile, dress well, and show confidence in yourself.
Go to places where the guys you want to meet are. Take courses at your local community college, join clubs or art guilds. Take up martial arts classes.

Try not to think about it too much. Get more involved with friends,family,activities,even volunteering for a cause that means a lot to you. I'm sure with the last two things, you'll meet someone with your same interests. That's what I'm doing.

Be more out going go to social places like the library or to a nice lounge or a play things of that nature.

Bar rooms,malls,librays,church and sometimes a grocery store,but i'm starting to think thats a myth,with grocery stores.I'm a guy and trying the same thing you are,been single now for way to long,good luck,mabye we'll run into eachother lol,bye....Joe

I met my boyfriend on match.com.
It really is the way people meet these days.
I was on it for about a year, met a lot of really cool guys,
and finally met the one for me. I had a lot of fun and
met guys I would have never met anywhere else.
