Walking will help you, but it will take a very long time...
There are two types of muscle in your legs, one is slow twitching, which you use when walking, running, or any other activity of which you can do 30 minutes. The other type is fast twitching which is used when you do some exercise of which you can do only 30 seconds of so. For example squats. Now I know that girls usually don't like squats, or any kind of exercise requiring extreme effort, but the truth is that squats will increase your thigh muscle much faster than running or walking. Do with or without weights, and you can also jump up. Do as many as you can, wait 1 minute and then repeat. Do around 5 sets of these and you'll see improvement.....

Try walking up hills, doing squats, walking up steps, using a stair master. How long til you see results depends on how hard you are working out vs. your diet. Up the protein chick. Try taking muti-vitamins liquid ones are best. Centrum has liquid multi-vitamin available at target, walmart, etc. its better than the pill becuase your body takes all of the vitamin as oppose to only getting a little bit (which is what happens with pills). If your body is lacking certain vitamins it will take longer for the muscles to form and show. Thats why I am suggesting upping the protein and vitamins.

You will not usually see result until about 6 weeks, I know depressing! But, walking is great, try finding hilly areas, this will work your legs and butt. If you can do some walking lunges and regular squats you will see toning effect in those areas. Also, make sure you getting a healthy diet, muscle won't show up if there is fat around it. Don't give up, it takes time but it is worth it!

pass bare back or take your ft out of the stirrups and grip tightly with your knees (jointly as your horse is at a stand nonetheless) and positioned up as you often could. this does not in basic terms help your thighs, it additionally facilitates with your using, because you're actually not meant to push your self up with your ft against the stirrups. Ive finished it for a jointly as and would truly see the outcomes. solid success :)

I am in Crew (Rowing) which is all in the legs (not the arms) one great way to build leg muscle is to go on the ergometer machines (rowing machines) push with your legs and do very little work with your arms. If you belong to a gym there are trainers that can show you the proper way to do it so that you do not hurt any muscles.
Good Luck!

You can increase your speed - walking faster or even running. Pilates will also give you definition. Squats and lunges are great thigh burners too.
