maybe, maybe not...but it is so much more comforting to know God is always there for us , to help us along, to pick us up when we fall....if we ask Him to be!

You've already have many good answers, but I have to tell u that I love ur ?. I've been through some difficult times in my life, but if I didn't have jesus in my life I'd probably killed myself or engaged myself with demonic power to get out of the situation quickly.
God knows when u're in a difficult situation, so does the devil. The devil offered me his power to have money without leaving my home, but I rejected it.
I'd hope that God would get me out of my situation right after I rejected the devil, but I'm still suffering, so I guess God has a plan for every situation a believer faces in life.

Maybe God made that difficult situation happen so you ended up having to pray to him. One thing I learned about God is that he does things sometimes that will bring you to him even if its through a simple prayer. He sometimes just wants to get you to say to yourself "I need help; I don't know what I'm doing."
And to answer your question yes and no.

I would say Yes that you would have probably made it even if you had not prayed. Because people are usually stronger than they think they are. You never know how much crap you can deal with until it is staring you in the face. I also think that someone of a higher power could have still be watching out for you, even if you didn't ask them too.

People definitely can make it through difficult situations without prayer. Now, to be perfectly clear about this, I do believe in God. Even atheists can get through difficult situations without praying, though, or they would probably all become so depressed that they actually kill themselves. The world's full of heartache; it would eventually get to them.

Only you and God would know the answer to that one. Sometimes we could have made it through anyway, other times, He's waiting for us to ask in prayer before he gives us the needed help.
I usually find that I generally make it through my trials whether I pray or not, but for some reason (maybe sometimes it's just the change in my attitude) it's always easier when I pray.
best wishes

Puberty is often in hardship-free words a not uncomplicated time even as babies are unhappy with their lives. even as little ones are unhappy and motel to undesirable behaviour I blame the mummy and father for no longer giving them sufficient love and/or self-discipline. you won't be able to extremely evaluate both. both boys and women are dealing with new memories, yet those will be made no longer so scary through a strong abode existence and being knowledgeable.

Yes you would have gotton through without prayer, but if I pray I feel that I am not going through things alone. Athiests make it day by day too. I prefer walking with God.

First of all you can't just pimp God and pray when you find yourself in trouble. The Bible say that his ear is attentive to the righteous. You can't live a carnal life and expect God to move in your life when ever you get the urge to pray. You have to be saved and have a sincere heart. Now if you are sincere and cry out to him, he will hear your cry and lighten the dark path and move the mountain out of your way.

Maybe,
Is that a chance you are willing to take next time?
Why not Pray?
It is human nature to Pray when we are down and out, then when things are going good, we want to think we did it all by ourselves and don't need God. We are kinda arrogant like that.
Peace!
