Go back to your doctor and ask to be referred to a counsellor. Talking through the trauma of 7/7 and its effects on you will definately help. You need a short course of Counselling sounds like you have post traumatic stress disorder and your anxiety is totally justified. If you can afford a counsellor go to the BACP website and get one that specialises in short term trauma work. As it is effecting your ability to work why not try your human resources dept and as they have a duty of care to you they should be able to meet some of maybe all of the costs. Be well.

Panic attacks often occur when you return to the place where you first had the fear or trauma. lt is a hard road to go down to combat that relived fear, so for now, try looking for work where you do not need to use the tube, and maybe seek councilling. ln time, perhaps you could take a trip on the tube with a friend for a pleasant day out and start to combat the fear in a mind over matter sort of way. There's no rush, just in your own time. Good Luck!

you may want to think about doing something very crazy moving if you can afford it not to far tho watford perhaps plenty of jobs there but your not to far away from trying the tube when you feel less anxious. I was working in luton and i live in bedford i had to catch a train everyday the day after the london attacks i sat on an empty carrage but then three asians came abourd and sat right next to me and opposite i completly s#'#t myself they were doing it because they thought it was funny. i can just imagine how you feel but the danger has not passed so don't put yourself through it a major step has to be made for you as i did good luck.

You probably need to join a support group who deal mainly with anxiety. Or read some books on a technique called "self Help" where you begin to question your reactions to many different stimuli, including the root causes of your "panic attacks". On the job front, you need to speak to your employer and explain that this condition cannot be cured overnight, remember that employers can sack you due to absenteeism.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

Leave the rat race. Get another job where you can walk to work or drive. It sounds as if the great rush of people is what is bothering you. I moved to the northeast and it's so relaxed and laid back up here. I couldn't go back to the hustle and bustle. I would start looking for another job in another area

maybe you need to see a therapist to get ur anxieties out and talk about them, it is great to have a neutral party to talk to, u could be building up a tolerance to the medication and need an increase or another med. i found talking to a therapist very helpful when i was having problems. GOOD LUCK
