Love hurts because that's a part of life. You put all your feelings and emotions and set such high expectations in love that when it doesn't go as planned you feel rejected and hurt!

Love does not really hurt, it is that when you love someone and it fails, that hurts. Now the reason that hurts, rejection, being in a relationship and breaking up, etc, is because you put all this time and energy into something that you think will go farther but then you feel that you have waisted that time. You are once again lonely........

Love hurts because the things that are worth having are things that you have to sacrifice something for. If it didn't hurt, then you can realize it was not love and it was lust. Sometimes love was meant to be unrequited. It's just the way love works. If it was meant to be then it will occur.
