The police are only suppose to taser out of control people who refuse to coroperate or when the police feel that the "badguy" could potentially or is already a high threat to the officer or a high threat to himself or peopl in the area. I'm sure that they also go through some sort of tasor traing and are given the info on all this ins and outs of the power a tasor can have. I haven't heard of any deaths from tasors....but maybe thats cause it doesn't happen in my area. Don't know. But in the end if I were a cop then I would much rather use a tasor than have to shoot someone and if people are gettting tasored for no reason then they can just file a lawsuit.
