I've unfortunately experienced a few comas, and they were nothing but a blank. I was vaguely aware when the coma was in a light stage, of the presence of other people, and when I started to come out I was conscious of rising to the surface and then breaking through, at which point I was aware again.

But during the comas - nothing.

There are various stages of coma (Glassglow coma scale stage 1-5). Recent study shows that even comatose person have dream. Sometimes patients even in coma of stage 5 do have perception of surrounding ( hearing & looking). but there inability to do any movement unables them to express thems.

Our teacher was telling us that it all really depends. Some people will dream and others dont. It all depends on what kind of accident they had, and even if the person does dream, they dont really remember them once they come out of the coma.
