poke her in the eye like rowdy roddy piper. then sweep her with a leg kick and put her in the figure four leglock. that will stop her.

Yes Martial Arts will show you how to defend yourself against such things.
But you have to ask yourself "what did I do to cause her to attack me?"
If she was attacking you for no reason, you have the right to defend yourself, just because you are a guy and she's a girl doesn't mean that you have to LET her hit you.
In my opinion (and I absolutely DON'T advocate hitting a woman) as soon as you've made that decision to throw the punch or make the attack, I've made my decision to defend myself and making no apology for what happens from that point on.
Being a Martial Artist I know that I must further restrain myself from fighting, but that does not give my opponent the freedom to do as they wish no matter if who my opponent is Male or Female.
As you learn more in your class; you'll learn the body mechanics of blocking and deflecting an opponent's strikes and how to counterattack your opponent, whoever it may be.
If someone shows aggression toward you, you have the right to defend yourself and return their aggression in kind; and just because she's your sister therefore does not give her any right to attack you; unless you provoked her to begin with, but you can still defend yourself, but do your best not to strike her, just try to put her on the ground without too much force.

Yes, martial arts would show you how to deal with this. My question to you is: Why was your sister beating you up? If she has an aggression problem, you may need more than martial arts to protect you. If you provoked her, you probably deserved to be beat up. Either way, both of you should take martial arts. It not only teaches you self-defense, but it also teaches you to respect others and to not put yourself into situations that will require defensive action.

Someone in that state is usually unfocused. This will lead to multiple openings if you have the training to recognize & exploit them. There is no 1 specific answer to how you should respond because each encounter is different. In general, use movement to create good angles for you & bad 1's for your attacker. Someone throwing a flurry of techniques has to be open somewhere. There is a reason you don't usually see fighters doing this in competition.

Men do not hit ladies, but when she is no longer acting like a lady she deserves to have her head handed to her. If she does not want to be hit then she shouldn't hit anyone else. Yes martial arts will help you learn how to defend yourself against such attacks.

martial arts teaches a discipline that haves you control your opponents actions and use those actions to make them tired themselves out, because the reason for most martial arts is to focus on the defensive nature of it and the skills learnt are for helping you defend urself.
excessive force isnt tolerated very well.

May if you train at better gym, you wouldn't have a such problem with that.
I would simply move to the side, slip and counter, wait for the hand to start pulls back then strike hard and fast and bring it back to defend my face, push kick the opponent away, move in close and elbows their face, and many more.

Yes there is a defense. I believe Sub has the best defense in this case wrap her up so you don't hurt her and she can't hit you... then talk... why are you getting in a fight with your sister.
Don't cover up, get your arms up, and move.
I agree with another poster, you don't hit girls

Boxing, kickboxing and some other disciplines would help but the best thing to do in that situation is to grab her and control her arms.
