I put Frontline on both my dogs and had to do it again 2 weeks later. I agree there is something wrong with the Frontline this year.
I use Frontline because it doesn't get into the dog's bloodstream like sprays do. A dog can not overdose from Frontline, so my vet said.

I have used Frontline for years on both cats and dogs and it is still the best for my animals. I tried Advantage this year ( as it is supposed to also kill ticks) but I took it back as my dog still had fleas got back to Frontline and they have been gone all summer.

I don't think it is the fleas who have developed immunity to the stuff but it gets worse every year. Check the frontline to see if it's the right dosage for the size dog you have, we have just deflead our cat, dog and house and they both have flea treatments on them.

use another type of flea killer from the feed store or Wal-Mart that will kill fleas outside and use one for inside, if the dog comes in the house, you'll have fleas in your home as well. If your dog never comes in, you've still got fleas in your home, they'll hitch a ride on you or whoever comes in. You'll have to spray inside and out every two weeks for at least 4-6 weeks to break the fleas birth cycle. If this doesn't work call in the Professionals.

My vet told us to rotate what we use every time it's time for a new application. I have also found that there is a spray that is very effective called Happy Jack. You can find it at Tractor Supply. It's great stuff. The other trick is to treat inside and outside your home or you will never win.
