It can be a good forum. I find it's nice to get acquainted from afar before meeting someone. The first meeting should be in a public place over coffee or drinks. Limit the meeting to 30 minutes, of course if there's chemistry take it from there. The 30 minute meeting allows each of you an out should you not be attracted.

Been there done that.... met some really nice guys.

Yes and No.
A small amount of those who find someone is slim, that doesn't mean you won't go on a date with someone. It's more intrusting to find them on your own as well a primal hunt if you will.

My brother found his wife on-line, but they didn't meet for 3 years until after.

I myself never had, mostly being hit on my perverted men, still on here I am.

So there really is a 50/50 why not try.

I met the guy I'm seeing online. We chatted online for a couple of months online, and then exchanged phone numbers. Then we talked on the phone for another month. It really gave us a chance to get to know each other. We have now been dating for 3 months. You will have to weed out the ones who aren't worth your time, but I think it's worth it in the long run.

I believe it is...only because when people chat on line they tend to let their inner self come out....they say things that would normally take months and months of dating to find out...So it gets the awkward stage of dating behind you quickly....the trick is....making sure what they are saying is the truth...Because girls fall in love from what they hear and guys fall in love from what they see....

yes, in a way. just be careful though. guard your heart. protect yourself from falling in love for the wrong person because dating online doesn't guarantee you that the person behind the screen feels the same way with you or even tell the truth.
