I have seen someone else has already suggested international drive - but I just had to too! Its great! and I went quite a while ago - but if there is something still there called Skycoaster - please go on it! Have a try - it looks scary but is amazing, and once u have found the courage to have one go - u'll realise how fantastic it is, and you'll wonder why u were scared at all! Then you'll have a 2nd go! Its great - cant explain it but u have to go on it! Skycoaster! and if u feel like chickening out when u get there stay for a while and watch - even small children can go on. My neice went on and she must have been around 5 then!! U can have 2/3 people at a time too! have a nice holiday! -(just tried to search it on the net could only find pics of the bigger one which is 300ft! I onlly went on 110ft one - but hey if ur brave enough)

I've been to Florida a few times now and I love it...

Anyway:

Apart from the obvious Disney, Epcot there's...
Seaworld
Movie Studios
The Shopping Malls
The food - I love the American Portions, go to The Olive Garden or The Cheesecake Factory for a meal.
Try Fort Lauderdale (I think there's another Fort or 2 about)., there's a few of them about, they are quite interesting with a bit of history.
Tampa Bay
Nasa - JFK Centre
Miami
The Florida Keys - Key West is fantastic.
Daytona Beach

Have fun...

Walt Disney World vacations -- visit with the world's most famous mouse!
Florida State and National Parks - the Florida Everglades is a must-see. And some of our state parks are beaches!
Florida cruises -- all kinds, from the mega-ships to intimate vessels await you!
Florida Keys - - enjoy swimming, snorkeling, boating, fishing, diving and fantabulous sunsets.
Florida Caverns - betcha didn't know Florida even had caves!
All kinds of other, smaller Florida attractions that never seem to make it into the guide books.
Hey, want to walk on the wild side? Florida camping is out of this world!
Bicycle Florida! Plan for your cycling adventure.
Fun facts, weird weather and more!

SHOP! Go to the Florida Mall on International Drive & visit the food court. Yum! Also they have brilliant outlet shops for big stores like Ralph Lauren. Universal have Halloween stuff on all October so avoid it if u don't like that sort of thing (apparently it's really scary very good but very busy) and go to Taco Bell, it rocks! Have a lovely time!!! :)

Must See's
---------------Kennedy Space Centre & the Imax aswell as see all the old rockets. (you mentioned the parks, the Animal ones are particularly good though) Eat at one of the Jungle Jims and attempt to finish the 'head hunter'. See if you can take enough time out to do the Keys (key largo has a great glass bottomed boat - snapper in Largo is awesone for views of the sunset as you dine!!) & the everglades are cool too. (both are a longggg way from the parks though.) Belz is a great place to get some clothes if you like shopping, and on Idrive there's hundred's of restaurants some of the theme ones looked good too I didn't have time to try them all.

Avoid
--------
Any of the time share meetings even if they say 'it aint a time share' they offer tickets to disney on THAT day, but dont allow you to go with enough time to enjoy.

Fast food outlets that you can try in the UK (not that they are bad - but why bothers when you can get great steak or something instead?)

Never done but I want to try

It's really beautiful if you drive over to Clearwater/St Petersburg area, takes a couple of hours from International Drive. Also, the Kennedy Space Centre is awesome. Have a good trip!

That end of the state, head for St. Augustine, oldest city in the U.S. If you can go anywhere, go south and head for Sanibel or rather the coast around there (South of Fort Meyers Beach) as Sanibel itself is a bit pricey & up it's own backside.

Ponce Inlet Light house is awesome to go visit. Kennedy Space Center is another highlight that we go to when my kids and I are there.
In the Daytona area, there are wonderful places to eat. The Daytona speedway is there, you can tour it if you are interested in that type of thing.
Or just spend a day enjoying the beaches.

Sanibel Island. Pick up some shells as a souvenir. Be careful not to get bit by any sharks!
