I think it happens a lot. I don't think that there is such a thing as a platonic friendship. Either they are friends that had something at one time, or friends and one has feeling for the other. Men and women that spend time together will find qualities that they like and find attractive about each other. It may not get said, or acted on , but one always has a thing for the other. And when the moon is just right.....

Women don't turn male friends into boyfriends. Especially not ones that are interrested in them. It's counter-productive to their needs. They can allways get a new boyfriend but mates are harder for a girl to come by. The few exceptions to this rule allways seem to be when a woman understands she'll lose her friend if she doesn't get romantic with him.
