My sincere advice would be to take up a hobby... find something that you are really interested in, set a goal. Try to train your mind not to be thinking about trying to hook up with someone for a while. You know the saying, you can't love someone who doesn't love themself? Do something good for yourself, others notice, and will respect that about you.

Look at it this way. A glass half empty is a glass half full. You and this girl aren't together for a reason. That reason is it wasn't meant to be. Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes, the reasons are hard to come by, but they're there. Maybe you're looking but not seeing. The woman you're meant to love may be right under your nose. Just don't look so hard and you'll be surprised what you'll finally see that you've been missing for so long. Look at the good thing. You two aren't together, this means you don't have to listen to her insults. On the bad side, your heart is broken. If it makes you feel any better, I've been there a few times myself. I realized later that it was better off that the girl I wanted didn't take me. If she would've, I would always be in a bad mood. It's nearly impossible to get me to even call someone a bad name. God bless, I wish you faith and solitude in your search for your soul-mate.

Well, you can start dating women from other generations (unless it would be illegal, of course). Try to think about what sort of woman you would like and then think about where she would be. Chances are you won't meet someone in a bar or pub. Maybe volunteer for activities, hang out in bookstores, participate in a sport, etc. Have some goals in life. Women like guys that are going somewhere, not sitting home getting drunk (unless you're just looking for someone to get drunk with).

i think in this case you just have to meet the right girl... everyone is different as you well know, even all guys look for different things in girls... so yeah she was shallow but that's not how every girl thinks... although looks do get you through the 1st door, its the personality that lets you stay there... as for the bars... a lot of couples go to hang out but there are single people there amongst them... just gotta look hard enough or know people that know people... sounds weird but yeah most of my girlfriends don't normally start talking to guys randomly unless you catch them on a drunken night... lol but best of luck to you... and everyone's heart has to get broken at least once...

let's try to get this clear...

ur heart is aching cos

1) ur ears stick out
2) someone made a nasty comment
3) you don't have a gf?
4) you just broke up with ur gf

My guess is 3....

in which case....lighten up!! It's not the end of the world if u r single...though it can be hard at times...........but being in a bad relationship is worse than not being in a relationship! :P

Perhaps u can join more social groups and get to know more people....n increase ur chances of finding someone u might like to spend more time with....

all the best in ur search!!

Dude, it is not that crucial. There is nothing wrong with having married friends because they always know somebody that is single. Maybe they have a hot cousin or something. Stop being so damn angry.

Her answer regarding your ears was very imature. Never give up though. Not all girls are idiots.
