Read the book "Michelle Remembers". It is based on one womans accounts of her childhood and her Satanic parents. They performed many rituals including sacrifice. It all happened in my hometown. If you believe what she says is true then I guess your answer is Yes. (I know that they put extra security in the local old cemetary at Halloween) I have heard that my city is the Satanic capital.

There's always going to be one nut out there who claims to worship the devil and does things like that. We call them "murderers" rather than satan worshippers.

Most satanists, as has been mentioned, do not actually believe in the christian devil as a literal being, and most are atheists. He is a figurehead for them. An example of putting earthly concerns and desires above the spiritual. (Hence the use of an inverted pentagram by some satanists rather than the 'standard' pentagram which represents the triumph of spirituality over earthy concerns and desires.) They still have a very strict code of ethics they follow, which is most likely the only reason they are even considered a religion. LaVeyan Satanism is a good example of this type of satanist. Because of the Satanic Law "You may not hurt little children. You may not hurt animals except for your food." they don't even pleasure/trophy hunt.

So now we have the Satanic law that says you can't hurt little children. I think that answers half of your question. But there are actually other satanic laws that answer the other half. They are:

"When in neutral territory (public) do not bother others. If someone bothers you, ask them to stop. If they do not, destroy them. (defend yourself)" So, a satanist would never be permitted by their own laws to grab a woman off the street.

"When in another's lair (home) treat them with respect. If they ask you to leave, do so." So, a satanist would never be permitted to enter your home and kidnap you for any type of blood sacrifice by their own laws.

Now that we've covered the LaVeyans, we can move on to those that believe the devil is a literal being and worship him anyways. And this is even simpler. The vast majority of these groups still observe the Satanic Laws, the Satanic Principles and the Seven Satanic Sins. So again, sacrifice of people/children would not be permitted by their own laws. I am not aware of ANY satan worshipping organization that does NOT observe this code of conduct and ethics. And I've studied these groups for years, even making good friends in the process.

And before anyone starts praying for me, I am not a satanist or a devil worshipper. I am an Asatruar. A Norse Heathen. I also have been fascinated with eastern religions, Shinto, and the many forms of christianity. I take time to learn about and study those as well.

The FBI has never found a single case of sustained ritual abuse of this sort that can be attributed to satanists. They have found that there are two types of satanists:

1. Young teens seeking a mode of rebellion from parents and/or religion. These are the dangerous ones because their sense of self is not fully developed, and thus, neither is their capability for empathy. These are never truly organized groups (it may be a handful of kids acting together, but not organized as a religion).

2. Members of the Church of Satan or other such groups. Such groups do not believe in the literal existence of Satan as a real being, instead using the symbol of Satan to set themselves apart from the prevalent religious doctrine of self-mortification and belief that the flesh is sinful. Most organized satanic groups follow some form of secular humanist beliefs combined with symbolic ritual.

To summarize: No, it's not true.

I only know one couple who call themselves Satanists. Actually he's a military officer so I find that pretty entertaining. I would have a hard time believing that they kidnap young women and children to make blood sacrifices cause they are such unattractive people that I think most people, even children would not have anything to do with them. These people can't even dress themselves most of the time.

I'm sure that any atrocity can be performed by any nutcase but I'm going to harbor a guess that most "satanists" are like the couple I know. Boring and unattractive, who need 'something" to set them apart from anyone else and make them seem "special".

There a different sects. The true Satanists follow the works of Anton LaVey and don't believe in any of that. They don't believe in Satan as the Christian church teaches. Only good and evil in everyone. Children and animals are held in high regard. They believe in treating others well unless they deserve it then its an eye for an eye type theroy.

Television doesn't give an accurate depiction of anything.

True Satanism is more Athiest I think, they don't truely even believe in Satan or God

I suppose that if you think about some people may actually be like that. But mostly the TV's will stereotype and most people will eventually get angry. Also if that did really happen wouldn't the whole concept of it be broadcasted throughout the entire nation on the evening, morning, afternoon (got them round the wrong way there, nevermind) news AND be in the papers?
Think about that.

Uh.

There are a few cults in the norther countries of Africa in which they worship Satan and perform blood sacrifices. They are the only Satanists who actually believe that Satan exists.

The majority of Satanists are not devil-worshippers. Rather, they worship themselves.

There are the real loonatics who at least try to do that , and there are the pathetic ones who aren't REALLY into that, they rather like to feel different and evil; Also, some succeed to kidnap people for blood sacrifices or other rituals or things invented by them

TV and movies stretch truth! You cannot trust them to give you real perspective of them. Now I do not know much about these cults but if they were doing as TV, movies portray it would be on news. Word of advice: TV and movies are about entertainment NOT truth!
