To feed the beast? Don't you know that if you quit responding to the blasphemis questions, the vultures have nothing to eat, and will go elsewhere? Do you think it is good for you to feed into this rubbish? Do you think it makes you more of a Christian to make a joke out of your faith?

I absolutely agree!! Thank you! Your words are music to my ears. I believe wholeheartedly that Christ would be very disappointed with some of the answers some christians give on this site. It just adds fuel to the fire of disgruntled citizens who used to believe. It is also so incorrect. Although, I can't say I have not felt rage when reading a blast at my faith but it is important to repent in wrongdoings and be understanding and caring to other walks of life. Peace be with you.

OK, so here you are a christian and yet you seem to be doing the same thing. You are asking a question in a way that you too are feeding the beast. You don't have to be a christian to "feel the need" to do anything. It is common decency that drives people to help someone else. I've known people who are practicing witches and others who worship the devil who are capable of loving another human being with offers of assistance. And if someone rises to the challenge of responding to negativity, they are not making a mockery of their faith, they are just expressing their own views. Silence is sometimes a mark of defeat.

While I agree with you for the most part, I think that if a Christian can intelligently and rationally explain why something is blasphemous and give the correct interpretation of the misunderstood idea in a way that is easy to follow, then one _should_ answer questions as one has the ability to.

Now, with that being said, a lot of people tend to say stupid things, either giving no justification or just spouting off an answer, in turn making them (and christians in general) look stupid. Here's the way I see it: if you're going to answer something in a public forum, you should do your homework first and make sure that your answer and behavior in the forum is above reproach.

I only answer the questions with love ( except there were a few outright racially improper questions I got heated to ) love to try and enlighten them. I don't get mad cause they don't believe ~ however as a true Christian, we are to love our enemies. That's how awesome God is ( to you and I anyway ) to love your enemy, your neighbor, your wife, your husband, your children ~ well that covers everyone I think. I wish that could happen, this EARTH WOULD RULE> but I am not naive. I write what God puts in my head to.
I tell them to say what they want, they won't falter my faith, like I am unlikely to change theirs, but God knows I try. Sort of a " killing them with kindness " thing. No worries.

I often feel bad for the Christians. I have Christian friends who would say the majority of Christians on Answers make it harder to announce their faith, as many people think Christians are all like the ones on here.

How is it rubbish if someone who isn't a christian answers or asks a question? It is the intolerance of "christians" like yourself that polarizes religion and those that believe. I take great acception to being called a "beast" and I think your zealotry and intolerance epitomizes "christians" today. In other words, I would rather watch football and drink bloody marys than sit in a church brimming with hypocrites like yourself.

God calls us to speak the truth in love. He also says no weapon formed against us will prosper. He tells us to share the Word in season and out of season. I hold fast to these truths and ask the spirit to lead me in my choice of response and even in who I respond too. Sharing one's faith is not a joking matter at all. It is the great commission.

Ur right, and its upsetting to see that many christians that think they all that, do the same thing. I like to ignore what I can and if I must say something I say what I feel but not to be smart or anything, I also like to have the bible as a backup.

You have a point. I may just be stubborn, and refuse to back down to provocation. But Jesus said not give that which is Holy to dog's !

You've made a very valid point.

I am here because they ask questions directed to "non-believers" or "Atheist" so I answer. Plus so many of them try to push their religion on me and others not only in the R&S section neither. So I defend my right to NOT have them push their religion on me. Also to educate them on what an Athesit is cause its clear from so many of their answers they don't really know what an Athesit is. I don't push my belifes on them and I don't want them pushing their belifes on me.
