slower we breaths, slower oxygen carry to ours cells by blood stream. Meanning slower oxidizing process...that's why people while they doing meditation, they try to breath very slow in asia. i am sure while we sleep we breath slower than normal......let me know, thanks

I think that slow breathing relaxes us, which therefore makes us less stressed, which makes us feel better and have more energy... but I don't think it makes us younger... but it might make us feel younger, just as we will live longer if we have less stress in our lives.
