Oh, I like whining, myself.

Nothing will happen until after the elections, and our leaders really need to stop tossing us dog biscuits and thinking we are stupid enough to think it is a solution. Lack of credibility of our government is the biggest problem with coming up with a solution that will work, overall. We simply don't trust them to fix it going forward because they have shown clearly that they don't care. Every attempt to put 'loopholes' into something they trumpet as a strong solution is only further proof of this.

If the major political parties spent as much time on important issues like immigration as they do on slagging each other off the problems would be solved very quickly...it seems once some one gets into parliament their main tasks are to blacken the opposition and feather their own nests...if they don't start working to gether soon things will get well out of hand..

Here's an idea, why don't we build a fence between the US and Mexico to cut down on illegal immigrants? That would be doing something about the problem.

Oh, wait, Bush is having that done, so it MUST be a bad idea.

I have been and am doing something about it. I wonder what the rest of you are doing.
I write and call my Representatives weekly.
I'm a member of the Minutemen.
I take pictures of contractors picking up the illegal immigrants for work and send them to Border Patrol.
I keep up to date and act on what Bills are going through Congress that are for and against my believes.
Seems there is a lot to be done but few helping.

The "fence" isn't going to stop anyone. In case Americans haven't been informed, people build underground tunnels to transport both people and drugs.

As far as whining goes, yes, after the fence is built Americans will undoubtedly whine that the fence and maintenance on said fence cost hundreds of millions in tax dollars.

Of course I would like to do something about this.... but... it is in the hands of our 'capable" I mean crook politicians..... As I have mentioned many times before. ICE.... INS.... whatever they call themselves these days needs to be completely torn down and edified with specific departments with specific job details... They must be held accountable for their work ethics. You for example as a law abiding citizen (hopefully) do not have racist reasons for reporting someone does not even know who to report them too.... This bureaucratic monster of a department does not serve the Public in its work... nor does it serve its purpose in granting work permits for those who have applied.... what good are they? They have the attitude that I will get to them when I get to them not just to the people who they are supposed to serve .... But to the USA citizen who in essence supplies them with that paycheck that they do not earn..... Heads up...... Rebuild this monster of a department while building this wall across the border.
