Freedom of speach means, that sometimes YOU are going to have to hear something that offends you. We have freedom of speach, not freedom of hearing. I dont care what the Yahoo Answers guidlines say. I will make 20 different users to offend those who need it.

(1) You spelled "Speech"-wrong,so no need to go back to your question,to edit it.
(2) If your sole purpose is to offend people,then welcome to the new world,only fools get offended by things they don't understand,so I suppose it's easier to give a stupid answer to a stupid question,instead of just ignoring it.
(3) I've had it up to my eyeballs with the "Freedom of Speech" senario. People who think they can just say anything to anyone,are people who always have to "Watch their backs!". You never know who or what is lurking behind the bushes (Besides) I guess you can be offensive to people on this site,seeing that you may not ever meet them!.
(4) I'm going to close this statement by saying this: Be careful of what you ask for, you just might get it!. (smile!).

I have used the "report abuse" ONCE. The woman (could be a man who knows) kept asking questions about her 15 year old son, who was turning her on. The questions were very disturbing. If someone asks a question I don't agree with or "offends" me I usually just don't answer it.
Anything with sexual content towards a minor is repulsive to me. But like you said that is my "freedom of speech" soapbox speech.

I never used to report anyone , until I answered a question honestly, I simply told the truth. Next I knew I get a Message from Yahoo saying my answer was Hate Speech, and had been deleted. NOW I will report any one who's post is offensive to me, EVERY SINGLE TIME !
If you don't like being reported stop being abusive, insulting, and offensive. Or get used to being reported..........BOOM BOOM !!!!

I get people who tell me they are reporting me all the time. I have gotten some violation notices but not as many of them for all the times people say they reported me. People on here offend me all the time when they try to push their religion on me. Yet I can't report them for doing that so they shouldn't be allowed to report me when I offend them.

Some people don't want you to have freedom of speech, apparantly. When they report you, take it as a compliment, because you're obviously getting through to them on some level.

people get reported because they violated the community guidelines.. if you express your freedom of speech respectfully and within the rules of yahoo you have nothing to worry about.

I may not agree with what you say but I will defend with my life your right to say it. we who are tolerant must be tolerant of those who are not. remember this one ? those who live in glass houses should not throw bricks or stones.
