There has been some contraversy at my daughters school (that she recently left) about Islamic children coming to the school. A few of the parents had noticed how these kids where very tall compared to their English kids, but never saw the need to question this. Anyway 1 of these kids confided to her English friend that she was in fact 12 yrs old. The problem being that it is a juniour and infant school. The child should have been in a secondary school. Apparently the girl confessed to her friend that she was told to say nothinng about her real age..............How could this happen??? Are birth certs for these kids not required??? How are we to know how old these children are if there is no paper work???Surely this cannot be an isolated incident....what do you think??

Let's face it,the Muslims are here to take what they can from this country. They have no intention of blending in with our society and they don't care about the rules. On the contrary ,they expect us to accept their ways without question. You will be branded a racist and met with a hysterical over reaction if you dare to question anything that they do.

they have to bring papers showing their age. and by the way why do you refer to them as "islamic" children? are you aware that this is a religion? they might be older in the lower grade when they come here because they learn on different scales here compared to where they lived before. it is a different country and all. i am also suspecting that you mean "middle eastern" children.

Additional:

When the children come here they already know english from taking classes there. You have to take english classes in most middle eastern countries until something like 7th grade. But there it dosen't really go by grades. It's different. So when they come here they take a test to see which level they are on. I am sure they will advance with the rest of their grade as they go on through the years.

maybe they have been put back a few years to grasp English first?

It would be very unfair to chuck them into a modern British secondary school full of bullies, muggers and drugs.

That can be the only reason for it. The language.

This is not uncommon my eldest daughter was at school some years ago with a girl of Asian origin who was in her early twenties and married.

there is such a thing as tuition if pupils are struggling with any subject ,however if told `not to reveal their age` then their is obviously something sinister in their behaviour. what next ,juniors being sent home for attending school unshaven!!
