I'm sorry but you have fallen trap to christian propaganda regarding the holidays again. Santa Claus, like most of the other trappings of x-mas are PAGAN in origin. The christians absconded Yule and made it their holiday and the legend of Santa. They took what they had that was close and added to it. This is nothing new. Do some honest research into the history of the holiday.

No, St. Nicholas existed. The entity that became our modern Santa is based on of him.

certainly Saint Nicholas existed. many of our myths and legends have a basis in fact. there are many other instances if one wants to research hard enough but the legend of Santa Claus was really based on this actual person
