Fill a bucket of very warmest water you can put your hand into & add a squirt or 2 of dishwashing liquid. 1st start by slowly peeling a corner of the border, pull slowly. If its impossible to get an edge up start by putting a rag in the bucket of water you've prepared & wring out until it holds lots of water but not dripping-but the wetter, the better.Rub the rag over 12-15 inches of border, back & forth again & again until its affected the edge at bottom & will be raised a tad. Take a tool as putty knife, paint scraper- or even a metal pancake flipper out of kitchen utensils & try to get it moving apart from the wall. If you'll concentrate on getting the pattern part off 1st, leaving the paper pasted back ,do this. Continue on around wall to corner removing all pattern face-pay no attention to the pasted beigy color of backing. When one wall of pattern face is removed, go back to starting point and take your wet rag & sop down the pasted part,it'll change colors like a soaked manila envelope. Now it is easy to scrape off & use the tool(s) above to scrape off. Wash the area very good with clean water to remove all the paste & your wall should be back to what was originally underneath. I am a paper/mural installer for 25 yrs. Always remove the pattern layer first & then the pasted layer in 2 steps & you'll never have damage to the wall. When trying to remove in one step, it takes the sheet rock & even places in wood walls.
Good Luck

Spray with diluted vinegar or wallpaper paste remover. But if that doesn't work use a device called a "tiger" I believe. It perforates the surface with several small holes so the solution can soak through to the glue.

Fist score the surface using a Tiger wall paper remover by WM. ZINSSER CO. then wet down with water and vinegar using a sponge or rag. After you give it time to soak gently scrape with a putty knife.
GOOD LUCK!
