I just want to let you know that they cannot see anything. They do not listen, they do not read, they do not want to change their minds about anything. They feel they have all the answers tied up in one little book that was put together by a bunch of men 1500plus years after the ppl who supposedly wrote it died. They left out parts of it too. Don't be surprised by the responses you get and don't take them personally, "they know not what they do" to quote their own book, and boy is it the truth!!

Most times when people give me that kind of lip is when i ask them a question they cannot answer or can't explain clearly....
Instead of saying "sorry I don't know but i will find out from my elder and pastor( priest)", I will get a agressive retort " Because God says so, and if you blaspheme God's word with doubts like this you are going to burn in hell"
Who in their right mind would take a philosophy just because...? Many claim to allow you freedom to choose but if you don't choose the smiling angelic face turns into a Japanese Kabuki Red Mask.
There are of course those that give you the good news and REALLY leave you to ponder and grow... THOSE people I respect with all my heart.

What is your problem? I've seen several of your questions in the past and they are all hateful. Why do you have such a problem with religion? Who cares if Christians and Jews believe in God, Muslims believe in Allah, Buddhist believe in Buddha and so on (though I think you only have a problem with Christians). I can see why you have a problem swallowing anything to do with religion. You made up your mind and nothing on earth will budge you, and yet you don't allow others the same stubborn courtesy that you expect to be given to you. Most of your questions mock and degrade the Christian faith. Does this make you happy?

If God actually said so then yes. It's pretty reasonable.
So if God came down from heaven and appeared before mutterhals in all his majesty and said "Lay off of those Christians already, they keep nagging me about you. Especially Figato, He's always praying for you"
Then I think it would be reasonable.
Many Christians have experiences AND faith which make Gods word just as real.
But no, we don't expect you to swallow it, and many of us forget that. Especially those of us who were, at one time unbelievers. We forget that the whole concept was once ridiculous to us as it is to you now.

I am one person that will give you so much answers, you will feel like a fool in the end for thinking God did not exist.
you may end up being so scared, you'll start accepting the "God said so" answers.
But you are not supposed to be scared, cuz the good thing is god is big and so very monstrous but...He is good. A good God (that happens to love you).
I mean it. I just do not have enough time on the net now cuz I have to do some other thing.

I can see why a non-believer would have trouble swallowing most of the teachings of any faith. That's the whole point faith can't be proved - you either believe it or you don't. I would not expect a non-believer to be convinced by the answer God says so. What concerns me is when self-proclaimed believers wont accept because God says so as an answer.

Very good question, I would like to explain somethingvery important, maybe this will help our understanding of this issue.
I have a question, Do you consider yourself to be a good person?
here are a few important questions reagrding Gods standard the Ten Comandments.
Have you ever lied? even white lies?
Have you ever stolen something? even cheating on a test?
have you ever looked at a guy and Had sexula lustful thoughts? Jesus called this adultry of the heart/
Have you ever used Gods name in vain? this is called blasphemy.
Now, in light of your question, this is what the BIble says, all liars will have thiere part in the lake of fire, no thief or adulturer will enherit the Kingodm of God. the BIble (Gods word) says that the penalty for your sin is death and Hell. Now, you may not belive this, but simply ask yourself this question "Is truth, or reality persuaded andchanged by my belifes?" the answer is no, our belifes wont change reality, therfore, no matter how much we may disbelive in Hell, it wont cease to exist. hell should great;y concern us, because if what the BIble says is real , hell is eternal, there is no escape, the BIble calls hell a place of everlasting punishment. But God did something wonderful for us, The BIBle says that while we deserve this terrible place caled Hell, God loved you so Much Jesus came and died on the cross paying the penalty for your sins. he did this so that if you will repent(turn from sin) and trust Jesus as Lord and savior, you can be forgiven and granted eternal life. Now, Im not going to tell you to belive this because God said so, but I want you to ponder this thought for a moment. what if your wrong? what if God, Jesus, the prophets, the Jews, and the chrisitans are right and you are wrong? if there is no afterlife, no Judgement day, no heaven and non Hell, then God is unjust and all of the above are guilty of being false wittnesses, it means they mercilessly died for something they dint even belive. More importantly it insinuates that if there is a God, he is devoid of Justice. he can look at a man kill another man and never bring that person to justice. but, if your right and there is no God, No heaven No Hell or judgement day, you wont even have the Joy of saying "i told you so". However if your wrong, you will lose your soul for an eternity, you will end up eternally damned. you are playing russian roullet with a fully loaded Gun. all you have to do is listen to your conscience, it affirms the truth of Gods Law, you knew it was wrong to lie and to stela and to look with lust. No one had to tell you this, your consceince pricks you on these issues. Dont gamble your eternal destiny, I know you care for your life, I know you qwouldnt gambel your life by playing with a loaded revolver, yet your gambling something millions of times more important.
here is the ultimate challenge, God himself has promised that if you trust him and follow his command to repent, he will reveal himself to you, you wont just belive in God, you will know God you will have moved from the realm of belife into the realm of experience.
God Bless

For me, since I believe in God, it is all the answer I need. Since you don't believe, what kind of an answer would you believe?
Do you believe killing is wrong. Evolution or naturalism doesn't explain morals. Only a higher power can, and that's God.

I am a Christian and not once in my life have I ever had someone say no or yes to me with the backing of "Because God said so". You've obviously encountered some less knowledgeable people who did not know how to put their words across.

It is so to an acceptable answer, do you know why???? 'Cuz God said so!!!
(sorry couldn't resist - am feeling froggy this morning.)
And yes, I can see why you would have trouble believing it, even as a Christian, it's hard to swallow at times. I still question things, but questioning does not change my faith in God.

Of course I can see why a non believer would have trouble.
Nobody likes to be told what to do, and have no choice. That's why there are so denominations within so many different religions... they even disagree about thier own religion.
On a side note though, I remember my parents telling me to do things because they said so, and it was always something better for me.
