In God We Trust is written on American money..... therefore that quote was taken directly off the bill....its just a cute way of saying "no credit, pay cash"

Only trust in God. Everybody else has to pay cash means no credit

Curiously, before the 50s, god was unsolvable, and couldn't find a way on the US currency. I wonder why suddenly his credit got better. I smell a pyramidal scheme :) > When they put "in god we trust" on U.S. money, did they forget the rest? Shouldn't it read "in god we trust, all others pay cash"?

The motto of the USA is "In God We Trust" and its printed on the money. Someone wanted to be cute and added, "others pay cash."

The local mechanic in my home town has it on his wall as well. and basically he is telling you that he does not accept credit in either a credit card or a running bill that you plann to pay off at the end of the month.
