Elliptical Trainers have the potential to burn more calories than a treadmill does. If you are exercising in your target heart rate, the median caloric burn on a treadmill is somewhere between 300-600 calories an hour.

An elliptical machine burns between 500 and 800 calories an hour once exercising in your target heart zone. Higher numbers if you are in the cardio training zone (80-90 percent of your maximum heart rate) Of course, then there is the fun factor. I personally like the feel of the elliptical machine better. Also as far as impact is concerned, ellipticals have less impact on joints to treadmills.

the main suitable exercising is the single you will do often. I hate the elliptical so i take advantage of the treadmill thrice each and every week yet I do understand that the elliptical burns extra energy and is far less complicated on the knees, yet I basically does not follow it.

Eliptical machines aren't as boring as a treadmill and I think they target more muscles.
