The Ark of the Covenant predated Jesus by a thousand years. It was rather a minor relic but killed off some poor soul who sought to correct its crooked position. This had made some people think that perhaps the Ark could have been a type of electric conduit capable of given off a powerful shock.

Mythbusters did a show about the possibility. I beleive they labeled it plausible but the electricity they generated was very low.

The idea of it being a nuke is ridiculous because the ancient ISraelites would have been wiped out along with the Ark if they used it as such. It would have had a one time use only.

The Ark of the Covenant was the container that was used to carry the pieces of the stone tablets that the Ten Commandments were written on.

"Raiders of the Lost Ark" may have made it look like a weapon but it was just a fancy carrying case

Apparently the Ark's power was used on more than one occasion.

This would mean that it couldn't have been a "nuke" in the modern sense, as nukes can only be used once.

It is, however, entirely possible that it was some sort of weapon that had a special power source, the secrets of which have been lost in time.

I will assume you are not speaking of Noah's ark, You are speaking of the Ark of the covenant. It houses the 10 commandments and has angels on it very powerful, but not nuclear. The destruction of the city's of Sodom and Gomorrah sounds like nuclear destruction to me, included the instant pillow
of salt.

The Ark was a BOAT....a boat which saved all the entered it while a flood destroyed the others.

The Ark was also a type of Christ. One had to accept the fact that death was intimate and that salvation from that death was needed.

Death is intimate for all of us. Only those who have accepted Christ will be saved...and have eternal life. See the link below

I'm sorry, but a rain lasting as long as it "supposedly" did would have never crested as high as the "Bible" states.

Believe whatever you want, but at least open your eyes to the fact that not a single event in the Bible can be proven. Belief is one thing, blind ignorance is poor judgement and a lack of common sense.

Wake up!

Apparently it was a big capacitor (battery.) It used electricity to kill anyone who touched it. Only those who carried it would be safe, with the handles being made of wood. I'm not joking, there is evidence to support this.
