Self evidently, babies do not go to Hell. They have done nothing at all and all babies are precious to God.
If they die as a baby, they go to Heaven.
You are being too clever by half:God is smarter than you.
He already knows those that will die as babies, they get a one way ticket to Heaven.
Anything else would attribute evil to God.
Look deeper at Catholicism and learn some things.

I am Catholic. We believe we are all born with the stain of Adam's original sin on our soul. That is why the devil is able to tempt us, because he successfully tempted Adam and Eve. I'm not sure of the other Christian faiths.
As for as unborn babies, stillborn babies and infants. They don't go to hell. Original sin will not make you go to hell, it makes you prone to temptations. Without original sin, we would be holy and able to resist Satan all the time, like Jesus and Mary. (they still had free-will). These babies, the Catholic Church once taught, went to limbo. A state between purgatory and Heaven. But last year the Church has taught us that limbo does not exist. I haven't read about how they came to this notion. But it makes sense that babies would go straight to Heaven and not in limbo. I know the souls in purgatory are uncleansed and there they are able to be cleansed before they enter Heaven. I am not sure of what limbo is (was) all about. I'll look into it later. Personally, I am glad that limbo doesn't exist since I had a miscarriage once and I hated it when my mom told me my baby was in limbo. The word alone sounds like a lost place and I want my baby to be with God.
The website for the Vatican gives more detail to the limbo thing. I know the babies have original sin on their soul (from moment of conception, because that is when God puts a soul into the body) but I have no idea why they wouldn't be able to gain Heaven since they never had a chance to live and do anything.

I guess the real key is not discuss what different religions teach, but what does the Bible say. After David's adulterous sin with Bathsheba, they had a baby. All sin has consequences, and one of these consequences for David and Bathsheba was that they lost this baby. David comments that one day he will see him again and go to be where he is. If he were referencing hell, he wouldn't be so expectant of that future reunion. I am confident that David is in Heaven, because it was said of him that he was a "man after God's own heart." So therefore, upon David's death, he was reunited with the baby that he lost while living on this earth.

I can only speak from a catholic point of view coz I was a Catholic once and now I'm a Christian. Catholics believe that everyone is born with original sin from Adam and Eve. You lose this when you get baptised. If a baby is not baptised and dies it goes to Limbo.
Christian beliefs are that because the baby was too young to hear or understand the Gospel, it will be saved and go to heaven.
Cheers!!

Catholics teach that an unbaptized infant goes into "limbo", unless of course they changed that supposed FACT along with lots of others that they change.
But even with original sin, babies and children who are not able to understand, as well as the mentally retarded, will be not held accountable , and will be in heaven. Hell is for those who reject God's offer of Salvation through the death of Jesus.

From the official Catechism of the Catholic Church:
1261 As regards children who have died without Baptism, the Church can only entrust them to the mercy of God, as she does in her funeral rites for them. Indeed, the great mercy of God who desires that all men should be saved, and Jesus' tenderness toward children which caused him to say: "Let the children come to me, do not hinder them,"64 allow us to hope that there is a way of salvation for children who have died without Baptism. All the more urgent is the Church's call not to prevent little children coming to Christ through the gift of holy Baptism.

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses,I can tell you that the Bible teaches that we all have inherited sin and imperfection from our first parents,Adam and Eve.Therefore we are all born sinners.(Rom.5:12)
However, the Bible does not teach that there is a place of fiery eternal torment called 'hell'
Anyone who dies goes back to the ground from which they came. They are in a state of nonexistence awaiting a resurrection.
Eccl.9:5 for example tells us "For the living are conscious that they will die,but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all."
